So the day of 25th July has arrived. Many surveys have already predicted the result. Many debates, discussions and election rallies have took place in the last month or so. I as a student, a patriotic Pakistani and a vigilant citizen would like to do some mathematics for Elections 2018. But before that I would like to recap about the narrative and what every major political party have been gone through.

First I will start with PML-N. Under a lot of pressure, people are switching parties, corruption charges and at the end a head on collision with the establishment. Leader of PML-N Nawaz Sharif is in jail with his daughter & son in law while 2 corruption cases are still pending.

On the other hand Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has already said that he is not completely satisfied with his KPK government’s performance. Imran Khan whose perception is that he & his party is anti status quo have now eventually become a status quo party with all controversial politicians joining them. If some how PTI manages to form federal government, it is very hard to deliver with these controversial politicians who change party to remain in power. On the other hand PTI have serious ideological issues. I have a question for my readers. Do you think PTI is a left-wing or right-wing party?

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is facing media trial since long on the issue of bad governance and moreover on recent corruption scandal of top leadership damages their perception further. On the other hand all opposing party gathered on a platform called Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) to tackle PPP in interior Sindh.

While the Far-Right religious parties such as MMA, TLP, Rah-e-Haq Party and others are ready to cut the vote of major parties throughout the country.

MQM is the representative of Karachi but the London faction of founder has announced the boycott while other two factions of MQM Pakistan are barely able to unite on a common platform for the elections. while the political instability still continues in Balochistan and erstwhile FATA.

Now I will like to share my predictions for today’s elections:

Total seats for National Assembly= 272

Election postponed on 2 seats= Total=270

1) PML-N= 75+

2) PTI= 65+

3) PPP= 35+

4) MMA= 15

5) MQM= 15

6) GDA= 8

7) PKMAP= 4

8) PMLQ= 3

9) ANP= 3

10) BAP= 5

11) PSP= 2

12) Baloch National Parties= 5

13) PRHP= 4

14) APML+QWP+PML-Z+Awami Raj party= 4

15) Independents= 27

While my prediction for Prime Ministership is very interesting as I think that the next Prime Minister would be either Shah Mehmood Qureshi or Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.
